In May 2019 October Spirit set off across Biscay towards A Coruña. She had a de-winterising and preparation visit in March and a couple of days victualling in May before she set off. After the crossing to Cedeira it took a few days to explore some of the Galician coast of the Rías Altas to A Coruña. October Spirit then had a week exploring the Costa da Morte. In June she joined the RCC meet at A Coruña cruising the Rías Baixas to Baiona before returning to Brittany in July.
20th March to 29th March visit to un wrap OS after the winter, install the new windlass and prepare her for the season.
After a night anchored off Houat, we headed off to NW Spain in fine winds and a swell which helped us cover the 321 miles in 42 hours.
Exploring the beautiful coast of Galicia with Isabel and Malcolm. The best beaches.
A Coruña to Muros and back in a week. Craggy coast-line only one small death - the poor little drone couldn't swim. R.I.P.
The 2019 RCC Summer meet started at A Coruña and ended in Baiona, taking in some beautiful destinations en route.
The splendid RCC final dinner in Baiona then to Portosin to retreive personal items before heading North back over Biscay past a whale to Belle Ile. Thence to Arzal not without it's drama. October Spirit remained in Arzal for fire damage repairs!
